They Met at His Concert, Then Built a Wedding Around Music | Winter + Willy
A Love Story That Started at a Concert
A love of music is central to Winter and Willy’s connection.
The two first met at one of Willy’s concerts, a beginning that sounds almost too fitting considering how central live music would eventually become to their wedding day.
Their beautiful wedding took place at River Run Lodge in Redmond, Oregon. During the ceremony, their officiant Casey told the story of that first meeting. In front of their closest friends and family, everyone was brought back to the night when Winter entered a concert and stepped into the opening scene of a much larger story.
There is something especially powerful about hearing a couple’s history spoken aloud during a ceremony. This is where wedding videography becomes especially meaningful. A wedding video preserves more than the words being spoken. It can hold onto Casey’s delivery, the reactions from the guests, the looks between Winter and Willy, and the music surrounding the entire moment.
Those layers of sound, movement, and emotion are what allow a couple to return to the feeling of their ceremony, not simply remember that it happened.
For Winter and Willy, their path together began with live music. So naturally, their wedding needed a soundtrack that felt just as personal.

The Sunset Session
As the wedding moved toward evening, the sky began shifting into layers of orange and blue.
The timing could not have been better if someone had attempted to schedule it.
We stepped away with Winter and Willy for a sunset wedding film and photo session. For a few minutes, the noise of the reception faded behind us, the landscape went quiet, and the entire day narrowed down to two people standing together beneath a ridiculous Oregon sky.
Sunset sessions are often some of the most valuable moments in a wedding film.
Not simply because the light is beautiful, although it certainly helps.
They give the couple a chance to step outside the momentum of the day. Weddings move quickly. There are people to greet, schedules to follow, speeches to hear, and dozens of moments competing for attention.
At sunset, everything slows down.
